As is usual in Altuzarra's fashion shows, Joseph left a novel wrapped in cotton wool on each guest's seat. This season, it was the turn of Emily Bronte's great gothic romantic classic, "Wuthering Heights", and its tragic heroine, Catherine Earnshaw, who surely would have loved this collection.

Alpine cashmere sweaters, black riding boots, jodhpur trousers, fabulous hooded coats and jackets would have been ideal for braving the moors of North Yorkshire, where the story of "Wuthering Heights" takes place. Better yet, they'd be perfect for anyone heading out to brave Saturday's sub-zero New York temperatures. Most incredibly, the sheepskin cape jackets with deep pockets, paired with matching boots and skirts, embodied the best of New Romantic style. The fleece coats paired with bouffant skirts were the most elegant, while the two studded dresses from the final pass oozed style and class.
